PROBABLE CAUSES FOR KNOBS STICKING (NOT RETURNING TO RESTING POSITION):

1) Knobs screwed-on to spindle too tight.                                                                            SOLUTION:  loosen hex screws, unscrew knob one-half turn, retighten hex screws on "quarter hour".

2) Older knobs with wrong nylon bushing (RM853).                                                             SOLUTION:  use correct bushing (rose/long plate= 705019, short plate= 705027)

3) Rose/short plate mis-positioned, causing binding.                                                           SOLUTION:  loosen mounting screws, push rosettes up slightly, make certain screws are vertical, re-tighten screws EVENLY

4) Long plates mis-positioned, causing binding.                                                                   SOLUTION:  remove mounting screws from one side, and remove trim.  Reposition trim so there is no binding.  Install screws in new position.
